The special feature is the small cross-sectional pipe diameter loss due to the new pipes being pulled in close tight-in-pipe (TIP) inside the old pipe wall. Another advantage being the reduction of civil engineering costs as a launch pit excavation is not required.
Burstform: The HD-PE pipe is ovally shaped thanks to the Burstform flexible QuickLock rods allowing the pipe to be pulled down through a one meter manhole prior to re-rounding and TIP insertion.
The latest technology level is the on-line replacement of old pipes with the GRUNDOBURST pipe bursting method, where leaking and worn out pressure or sewage pipes are replaced by size for size or with even larger new pipes allowing for increased hydraulic flow capacity allowing for even more property connections to be added to the existing infrastructure.
Also on display was the GRUNDOPULL, which can be applied to pull out potable water property connections made of lead and replace them with new PE pipes.
The GRUNDOBORE 200/400 Steered Auger boring method is an underground pipe installation technology, making highly accurate pipe installations possible, such as required under railway tracks or beneath canals for Trenchless installation of both product and protection pipes.

TT also has a new solution for renewing property connections with the GRUNDOMAT soil displacement hammers from the building direct to the manhole. Alternatively, the steerable GRUNDOPIT mini directional bore rig can operate from within a confined space excavation or manhole to install pressure and drainage pipes and cables for buildings and properties in elevated or low lying areas where the service connections can be quickly and precisely installed beneath gardens, terraces, brick-work and other valuable ground surfaces.
