Intelligent NODIG solutions from TRACTO-TECHNIK at IFAT 2018

The water industry worldwide is facing the constant challenge of securing the supply of high-quality drinking water and adapting the capacities of the pipeline network to the constantly growing demand. To ensure this, while keeping the costs for utilities and consumers as low as possible, trenchless technologies offer sustainable and reliable solutions.

Using innovative NODIG systems, the water supply network can be built in a profitable and environmentally friendly way, in existing complex infrastructures as well as in areas where development in open construction is neither ecologically nor economically reasonable. Every requirement can be satisfied reliably, from the installation of pressure pipes for water transport and distribution to the installation of house connections to the final consumer and the sustainable renewal of damaged water pipes. The different trenchless techniques allow pipe laying along roads and under traffic and waterways with short or long pipes made of all common materials. The water house connections can also be installed underground from the building or directly from out of the connection room to the main pipe or vice versa.

Precise sewer construction
In Germany alone, the sewer networks transport more than 20 billion cubic meters of waste-water a year, which is contaminated with a wide variety of pollutants. In order to prevent infiltration of the groundwater, the construction of wastewater pipes is subject to strict regulations. To ensure that the pressure pipes and gravitation lines to pumping stations, manholes, collectors and buildings are absolutely tight and accurate, sewer construction requires the highest precision. This precision is guaranteed in trenchless pipeline construction, regardless of whether you are installing or renewing the transport pipes and house connections.

In the case of massive pipe damage such as cracks, root ingrowth or socket misalignment, the NODIG technology is perfectly suited for sustainable pipe replacement. That way, defective transport pipes and house connections can be renewed in the same route with minimum structural and financial expenditure and ex- and infiltrations can be avoided in the long term. The various bursting methods for static and dynamic pipe renewal allow for the pipe capacity to be adjusted by 1-2 nominal widths.
